Conduct Guidelines for Candidates and Supporters

Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario
In the 2025 elections, candidates and supporters must adhere to Masonic principles—no promotion, no endorsements, no exceptions. Conduct yourself as a gentleman. Speak with your lodge secretary for full details.

Freemasonry expects the highest standards of decorum during elections. For 2025, strict guidelines have been reinforced to prevent inappropriate candidate promotion. These include bans on promotional materials, social media endorsements, and selective invitations.

Candidates must rely solely on their merit and reputation. When hosting events, brethren are reminded to treat all candidates equally and invite all those running for a position.

Failure to comply may result in disqualification. For more, please consult your lodge secretary.
